Brian Levey, PH.D., graduated from University of Arkansas with a BA in political Science, an M.A. in Political Science from University of Arkansas and a Ph.D. in Political Science from University of Georgia.
Dr. Levey has had over 7 years of experience as a research Scientist and currently is the Senior Research Scientist at Virtuoso. His responsibilities include model generation, model transparency, research design, test and evaluation, and statistical analysis of social science/behavioral data.
He also acts as liaison with the College of William and Mary, organizing and managing research assistants. Dr. Levey brings a strong political science and statistics background to the team. His areas of interest include research design specialization, measurement models, counterfactual analysis, and Bayesian Statistics.
Brian is an expert in quantitative/computational behavioral analysis and ensemble models. He has deployed forecasting models of political violence and instability to STRATCOM and COCOMs. He has worked on developing quasi-experimental designs to estimate causal effects in observational data.
