Michael A. Covington, Ph.D., graduated Summa Cum Laude,with a B.A. in Linguistics from University of Georgia, a M.Phil. in Linquistics from Cambridge, and Ph.D. in Linguistics from Yale. He is a Senior Member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, member of University of Georgia Linguistics Faculty and Engineering Faculty, and Erdös number: 3.
Dr. Covington has had over 30 years of experience working with linguistics . He has doen research in Natural language understanding, Information extraction, retrieval Computational psycholinguistics,
logic modeling of electronic commerce Artificial intelligence, logic programming on microcontrollers
Computer security, and ethics.
Dr. Covington has a full reading knowledge of Latin, Greek, French, Spanish, German. In addition he has a working knowledge of Italian, Biblical Hebrew.
Michael has written 7 books, published in chapters of 20 books, and featured in hundreds of articles. He was Listed in Who's Who in Science and Engineering since 2000. One of his various accolades was first prize in the IBM Supercomputing Competition for humanities and social sciences (1990).
